Welcome to Natural Pain Relief For Fibromyalgia

Chronic Pain Relief

There is so much advice out there about chronic pain but what really works?

Sufferers are so mislead by the media because there is such a big profit opportunity from people who are desperate to end their pain.

– Drug companies advertise on tv that their pill is the secret to living a great life as they list off their side effects that take up half the commercial time.

– Tylenol companies advertise that their pain pills “get you back to normal”.

Is that what the world has come to? We are normal if we are drugged up on prescription medications and pain meds?

We are so desperate to find relief we try this and that only to find that it isn’t
really working.

We have to put up with side effects such as:

– weight gain, head aches, stomach pain, swelling, constipation, diarrhea, decreased sexual desire or ability, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, increased sweating, loss of appetite, increased appetite, sore throat, tiredness, trouble sleeping, vomiting, weakness.

Then there are the more severe symptoms of:

– severe allergic reactions such as  rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing,
tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue, unusual
hoarseness, bizarre behaviour, bloody or black tarry stools, blurred vision,
confusion, dark urine, decreased concentration, decreased coordination,
fainting, fast or irregular heartbeat, fever or chills, hallucinations, memory
loss, mouth sores or ulcers, new or worsening mental or mood changes eg.
aggressiveness, agitation, anxiety, depression, hostility, impulsiveness,
irritability, panic attacks, restlessness, pale stools, red swollen, blistered
or peeling skin, ringing in the ears, seizures, severe or persistent dizziness
or headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tiredness, weakness, trouble sleeping, sluggishness, stiff muscles, stomach pain, suicidal thoughts or attempts, tremors, trouble urinating, unusual bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, vomitting that looks like coffee grounds, yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Then we have the unfortunate who experience

– heart attacks, strokes, kidney damage, liver damage, successful suicides, anaphylaxis shock and even death.

That is quite a list isn’t it? And all from these drugs that are going to help with your pain and change your life as you know it. Helping you with your pain. That list came mostly from the Cymbalta side effects list, one of the drugs of choice for Fibromyalgia.

I looked to the medical system for years and I experienced a long list of the above and a near death situation. If I didn’t have such a big will to live I wouldn’t be here. Well believe me, if you keep taking pills year after year you WILL develop stomach problems along with a wide array of new symptoms. It seems like you keep adding illnesses to your list of conditions and they keep adding pills for the symptoms which mostly come from the pills. It is like a domino effect that keeps you falling the wrong way, into a chronic pain syndrome instead of out of pain, you become weakened and more dependant on everyone.

There is another way and I am finding my way out of the deep dark hole of our current medical system that didn’t work for me. It was weakening my body to a point that I didn’t find much reason for living. Nothing worked, pills had me to a point that I couldn’t eat anything because it caused so much internal pain, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t wake up, I was in a permanent brain fog and on and on. There was only one way to describe it, MISERY. I went for help and ended up getting more symptoms, more pain, more disbelief from sceptic doctors, more frustration and a lot of pills.

Now today is different. I am still in pain but I have learned how to deal with my it on such a positive level. My stomach is so much better, I have less symptoms, I can sleep better, the brain fog is gone, I know my triggers, I know how to deal with each symptom, I know when and what contributes to my pain and I feel alive instead of near death. That alone is worth it’s weight and gold. Before I dreaded living the rest of my life in the state I was in, now I feel there is a light and I am looking forward to being pain free one day. I look forward to having grandchildren one day and being able to be with them instead of them sitting in my wheelchair with me or lying in my death bed.

If you want to learn to live your life with your pain opposed to suffering your life away with pain, I invite you to sign up for my newsletter and follow my path to wellness. I want to help you help yourself out of a very hard life of the
chronic pain cycle. The answer isn’t in a pill bottle but in a wide array of
solutions. I can help!

Please read some of my articles that might help you and browse around the website. There is lots of information that will hopefully help you understand where some of your pain might be coming from.

Erectile dysfunction and loss of libido are becoming more prevalent. I am simply compiling a list of anything I find that could possibly cause erectile dysfunction or loss of libido from case studies, personal experiences and side effect list from manufacturers and FDA. If you have anything to add, please let me know and I will add it to the list. Perhaps you can find something that you weren’t aware of that could be contributing to your ED. Of course there are always physiological and psychological factors but what else can cause it?  There are prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, street drugs, chemicals, mental stress, physical stress and food to name a few.

So far I have found lots, no wonder it is such a big problem:

If you experience ED and think that it may be a result of medication you are taking, do not stop taking the drug without first consulting your doctor.

If foods such as GMO, Aspartame, MSG, soy protein isolates and a LOT of different prescription drugs are causing erectile dysfunction and loss of libido, could this be one of the governments many plans for mass birth control? After all, aren’t they the ones who allow this type of poisoning in our food, personal and health care products? We need to look at the whole picture. A lot of drugs and food can cause erectile dysfunction and loss of libido, then we are given another drug such as Viagra to fix that problem or anti-depressants because we must have too much stress.

Think about it, if there is that much erectile dysfunction and loss of libido happening, there can’t be that much baby making going on.  Look at the Viagra being sold nowadays.

A lot of people complain they are too worn out to have sex nowadays, no energy. Our food chain is draining in so many way.

I call the younger generation the WHITE FLOUR KIDS. They have no ambition to get up and do anything. Most of them need an afternoon nap to get by their day. They don’t exercise and they eat food with very little if any nutritional value. Kids are asking Doctors for Viagra nowadays, now how sad is that? We can sit by and consume these foods and pretend like nothing is going on but if you are one of the unfortunate ones who has chronic pain for unexplained reasons, this may be of more interest to you. We should pay attention to cancer, heart disease and the many forms of immunity diseases.

We need change. Just my thoughts!

Alcohol is taken regularly with pain killers, prescription, over the counter and street drugs without thinking twice about it. Do we really know the consequences, long term results or internal damage we could be causing to our bodies?

The addiction to alcohol, pain killers or street drugs can also lead to liver damage, kidney damage, hives, mental illnesses or even worse, child neglect, child abuse or spousal abuse. Not to mention the crime, theft and death and devastation drinking and driving accidents cause.

Lets remember that one alcoholic drink means:

  • 12 ounces beer
  • 5 ounces of wine

1 1/2 ounces of 80% proof, 1 ounce of 100% proof

Anti-depressants

Cymbalta – alcohol and drugs like Cymbalta affect similar chemicals in the brain

– concern is increasing effects of alcohol, possibly increasing depression or affecting motor skills

– healthcare professionals advise is you do drink, drink light to moderate amounts

* My thought – it is a fairly new drug and we are the guinea pigs so report your side effects and adverse reactions with drugs/alcohol/herbal/foods. I would consider liver or kidney damage. There are withdrawals symptoms with Cymbalta, libido and on and on.

**I am not a doctor or professional but I wouldn’t combine them or take either if you have a history of depression, suicidal thoughts or any kind of mental illness. Get some help, it will get better.

*** Here is it, though I would include it too. Warnings are for anyone with biopolar, suicidal attempts, heart disease, diabetes, seizures, epilepsy, glaucoma, liver, kidney, bladder or allergies.

Spice Up Your Sex Life!

Forget the Chocolate! Add Saffron and Ginseng to your nutrition plan. Both are proven performance boosters while chocolate and wine effects of sexual desire or performance is likely in your head.

March 28, 2011 – News Release Guelph University.

Ontario researchers have done it again. Guelph food science professor Massimo Marcone  and John Melnyk, a master’s student found studies to support good old herbs and spices can give results.

They found that panax ginseng, saffron and yohimbine, a natural chemical from yohimbe trees in West Africa, improved human sexual function.

People report increased sexual desire after eating:

muira puama, a flowering plant found in Brazil

maca root, a mustard plant in the Andes

chocolate, despite its claimed aphrodisiac effect, chocolate was not linked to sexual arousal or satisfaction [1]

Did you know that saffron comes from our common flower, the crocus sativus?

Crocus Sativus by KENPEI’s photo

Public Domain KENPEI Crocus_sativus1

Saffron

contains more than 150 volatile and aroma-yielding compounds

– also has many nonvolatile active components, many of which are carotenoids, including:

1) zeaxanthin

2) lycopene

3) various ?- and ?-caratenoids

However, saffron’s golden yellow-orange colour is primarily the result of ?-crocin. [2]

So lets take a look at Saffron’s history:

Until now, the earliest known use was around 1000 B.C., with visual and written evidence for the myrtle, the lily, the poppy and others.

Now, scholars say, the dating of a volcanic eruption and botanically accurate wall paintings indicate that saffron has been a versatile medicine since 3,500 years ago.

They base their case on frescoes at Thera, a Greek island in the Aegean, that have been thought to depict a goddess overseeing the production of perfume or spice.

Instead, the scholars say, the frescos, from 1500 or 1600 B.C. — the exact date is a topic of debate — show the goddess presiding over the manufacture and use of a drug from the saffron flower. [3]

Either way, it shows the safe use of herbs and spices for hundreds of years. It sure is taking us a long time to catch up with science. Why have we taken our science ventures into chemical warfare rather than using the cures from nature? They are indeed fascinating!

Saffron History

Saffron was detailed in a 7th-century BC Assyrian botanical reference compiled under Ashurbanipal. [4]

Documentation of saffron’s use over the span of 4,000 years in the treatment of some 90 illnesses has been uncovered. [5]

Saffron-based pigments have indeed been found in 50,000 year-old depictions of prehistoric places in northwest Iran. [6]

The Sumerians later used wild-growing saffron in their remedies and magical potions [7] [8]

Ginseng

Folk medicine attributes various benefits to oral use of American ginseng and Asian ginseng (P. ginseng) roots, including roles as an aphrosdisiac, stimulant, type II diabetes treatment, or cure for sexual dysfunction in men. [9]

Ginseng and Reishi mushrooms in bottles being sold in Seoul, Korea

The price of wild ginseng roots has climbed in the last decade. Now domestic buyers pay $500 to $600 per pound compared with about $50 per pound of cultivated roots. Law enforcement officials say the prices have pushed people into the woods looking for quick money . [10]

Current popularity of such drugs as Viagra and Cialis to treat erectile dysfunction. Viagra and Cialis brought in $1.9 billion US and $1.7 billion US, respectively, last year for their parent companies, Pfizer Inc. and Eli Lilly and Co. [12]

Even young kids are asking for these drugs and mixing it with ecstasy which is really dangerous.

What a hoot! That planet fitness commercial makes me laugh every time I see it. The big, dumb looking body builder in his short, shorts with his 3 liter jug of juice saying over and over………

I lift things up and put them down.

I lift things up and put them down.

I lift things up and put them down.

I lift things up and put them down.

As they escort him out the back door……

Hmmm, too much steroids or too much genetically modified soy protein isolate? LOL

You know, it doesn’t matter what it is that makes you laugh, make sure you do it everyday. It releases endorphins, those feel good hormones and we need a burst of them everyday!

Seriously though, most body builders take some form of that protein with soy protein isolate. The problem is that most of it is genetically modified or GMO  which has been shown to cause erectile dysfunction, hormonal disturbance, infertility and loss of libido in women as well as many other symptoms. Kind of ironic isn’t it? Trying to build a hard, sexy body meanwhile it is robbing you of your sexual well being.

Why do they allow these products on the market if they are harming us? Soy is good if it is organic, just make sure you are buying from a source you can trust. GMO foods not only jeopardize human health but also our environment, organic farming and animals.

I try to find the best products and the best prices for you.

If you are looking for pure, natural and organic body building proteins you can trust, click on the link below and put proteins in the search. This is the best price so far that I have found so far, but will continue to search.

For serious body builders, the Capra Double Bonded Protein sound like a good product, is gluten free, GMO free. I would think the Sun Warriors protein would be a good product too. I haven’t tried the body building products because I just exercise to firm not build, I am chick not a dude. : ) I can buy my chia seeds and have them delivered cheaper than I can buy them here though. We Canadians do have to pay a duty fee on the order which puts the price up for us.

Here are some articles I wrote on the effects of genetically modified foods. It is worth checking them out:

Little do we know that the soy they claim is healthy for us is not so healthy. Why? Besides the fact that they turn it into soy protein isolate which can hide in so many foods we are unaware of, 90 to 95% of it is Genetically Modified Soy or GMO. According to quite a few sources it can cause quite a list of side effects from hormonal disruptions, miscarriage, infertility in women, loss of libido and erectile dysfunction in men, man boobs as well.

Another article I wrote showed that codeine can cause loss of libido and erectile dysfunction as well. So body builders should be warned, especially if they are having erectile dysfunction to stay away from those protein drinks with soy protein isolates. Dr Mercola says it can age you 5 years and it hides out in foods like:

Here are a few other names soy tends to hide under:

  • Mono-diglyceride
  • Soya, Soja or Yuba
  • TSF (textured soy flour) or TSP (textured soy protein)
  • TVP (textured vegetable protein)
  • Lecithin
  • MSG (monosodium glutamate)

Not all textured vegetable protein is made from soy, but a great deal of it is. Lecithin can be made from soy, eggs, sunflower or corn. Be sure to contact the manufacturer to find out which is in your product if the label doesn’t reveal this information.
