Consumers have the right to know what is in their food!

OCA is calling on retailers to pledge voluntary compliance with our Truth-in-Labeling campaign by clearly identifying all food products containing genetically modified ingredients with a label or shelf sign that says “May Contain GMOs” and by identifying all factory farmed animal products with a label or shelf sign that says “CAFO.”

Canadian GM Flax Contamination Crisis Continues

Farmers in Canada are in the midst of a serious economic crisis created by GM flax contamination.

In late 2009, the GM contamination reached 35 countries and closed the European and other markets. The GM flax seed has been illegal to sell in Canada since 2001 and is not approved for human consumption outside of Canada and the US. The GM flax contamination crisis warns of the consequences if GM alfalfa or GM wheat are introduced.
